How to get The .NET NI-488.2 class libraries

I have a NI GPIB-Ethernet Box.  I installled NI-488.2 for Windows 2000/XP in my Windows XP computer.  Now I want to talk to my GPIB instrument using C#.
I search the NI website and found that NI has The .NET NI-488.2 class libraries.  I'd like to know how I can get or buy The .NET NI-488.2 class libraries without buying Measurement Studio .NET.

Thanks

Hi gipbcsharp,

You need to make sure and select either .NET Framework 1.1 Languages Support or .NET Framework 2.0 Languages Support in the Ni-488.2 installer (see attached screenshot). This will install the NI-488.2 .NET assemblies so that you can develop in .NET. As you mentioned, this does not require Measurement Studio. I will say though you will miss out on many helpful features that Measurement Studio provides such as analysis libraries, UI controls, the Instrument I/O assistant (automatically generates code for you) and additional documentation.

Anyway, once you install the .NET Frameworks support, select Start >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-488.2 >> NI-488.2 .NET Framework 2.0 Help (if you are using Visual Studio 2005). Then navigate to NI Measurement Studio Help >> NI Measurement Studio .NET Class Library >> Using the Measurement Studio.NET Class Libraries >> Using the Measurement Studio NI-488.2 .NET Library. This is the help.

Also note that there is an examples help topic under NI Measurement Studio Help >> Where to Find Examples.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,

I have done these steps to get the NI-448.2 .NET 3.5 Framework Help files.....but it is unable to locate them.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled as well with the same ending.  Any other suggestions to find the help files?

Thanks!

You should be able to get there from your Start menu. Start >> All Programs >> National Instruments >> NI 488.2 >> Examples
