InstallShield installation - Error 2705

I've had issues adding a couple of the NI merge modules to an Installshield 11 Profesisonal project as well.  I have measurement studio 7.  Every time I build installations Installshield complains and won't build the setup.  I thought I was doing something wrong but it now appears that there is a larger issue here if others are having the same problem. 

I'll be bookmarking this thread because I still have one installation which still has to use the LabView run-time engine installer because I can't get a few of the merge modules to work in Installshield.  I don't mind using the run-time engine, but I would much rather the first company logo the customer sees is ours.

I think there might be a little confusion on this post because it seems like some people are having problems building the msi installer and others are just having problems installing.  Is this true?

As Jeff posted before, unfortunately we only have Installshield 9 here.  If it is possible to open an Installshield project from a previous version of Installshield in a newer version of Installshield, you could post your version 8 project on our ftp.  We can try and take a look at it here.  If you could also post the msi's generated by your project, we can take a look at those as well.  Because some projects install properly and others with installscript are not installing properly, you might want to also try and talk to support for Installshield, but again if you post the project with the MSIs we will be more than happy to take a look at them.  Our public ftp is ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming.  I have created a folder called installshield.  If you zip up your project and msi's, we will take a look at them.  Please just name the .zip as whatever your DF name is.

I haven't heard of any fix for this problem. I have resolved it myself by adding in the files manually which is not ideal but fixes the problem.

Could someone from NI technical support please add an update regarding the current state of this problem?

My understanding was that investigations were delayed because NI only had InstallShield 9, whereas customers were using more up-to-date versions of InstallShield. However gbedford has sent an IS8 project file in which the error occurs.

Have NI support made any attempts to look at this InstallShield 8 project file? What were the results? Are National Instruments continuing to investigate this issue?
