License expired for vb examples? Say it isn't so...

Solved!
Go to solution

We purchased standard Measurement Studio 2012 for Visual Studio 2010.  When I try to run GlobalContinuousAI_USB.2010.sln (an example in the MS .NET folder) I get the following exception,

{"An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details.  The error is: NationalInstruments.UI.WindowsForms.WaveformGraph evaluation period has expired."} .

Does this mean the program we bought doesn't run the examples it comes with?  Or is there some license installation process separate from installing the software?

Hi LonSol3,

This example is intended to work with Measurement Studio Standard.  Please try the following:

  1. In the Solution Explorer select GlobalContinuousAI_USB.2010.
  2. From the menu bar, select Measurement Studio»Refresh Project License File.
  3. Try to run the program.

Please let me know the result of doing the previous steps.  Additionally, would you please attach a screenshot of your NI License Manager, specifically focusing on the expanded view for Measurement Studio?  An example of what I am looking for is as follows:

Thanks for the response.  Refreshing the license file allowed me to run that example.  Mylicense manager matches yours with the exception that the "Enterprise Development" checkbox is half-red (there is a diagonal line with the upper triangle filled with red and the low white.
