Measurment studio slows down visual studio startup and compile time greatly when the network card is enabled??!

I am using Measuement studio 7.1 with c#. My computer is part of a domain. when the network connection is enabled, startup time of visul studio  increases significantly in the order of 1 or 2 minutes. compile time of the project also increases in the same orders. but when I disbale the NIC everything goes ordinary. What is the problem?

thanks in advanced

Please refer to the following link that discusses this issue:   http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/18E25101F0839C6286256F960061B282?OpenDocument

If you have any further complications, let us know.

Please note that starting with Measurement Studio 8.1, assemblies are no longer authenticode-signed so this should no longer be an issue if you develop or deploy applications that use Measurement Studio 8.1.

I am using Measurement Studio 8.0.1 with Visual Studio 2005 and I am having the same problem even after I modified the registry.  Is there anything else I need to do to solve this problem?

Please, any help is appreciated.

Hey Albert,

What about the Internet Options setting?  Did you try that?  Is the problem the exact same such that if you disable the NIC, the load time and compile time is significantly reduced?
Thanks,

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, I can not access the Internet Options Advance tab.
Yes, the same problem, without the NIC, the application will compile faster than with the NIC.
Every thing was running okay, I mean I have been working with Measurement Studio and Visual Studio for some time now, with the register changed as adviced, and everything was running fine.
I do not know if my network administrator push some updates, which affected my PC.

Thank you for any advice.

Hey Albert,

Why are you not able to access the Internet Options Advanced tab?  If this is due to administrator rights, please have an administrator log in and try setting this.  Is the value of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WinTrust\Trust Providers\Software Publishing\State currently set to 0x00023e00?
Thanks,

Hi Andy,

I think I figure it out.  Somehow my registry key was corrupted.  Even though the value was set to 0x00023E00 the compilation was taking too long.

I compared the "binary" view of the registry key in two different computers and they were different.  I copied the registry key from the computer which was working fine to mine and now everything is back to normal.

Thank you for your help.
