Is there a guide for the VB callable routines?

I have the USB-GPIB interface. I want to write my own program, primarily because I don't quite understand the relationship between the dll and Measuement Studio.

Programming with NI-488.2 does not have anything to do with Measurement Studio. I think having text-based examples for 488.2 may help you. Give these KnowledgeBase articles a read and check out the related links and I think that should help give you some direction:
