Question about the " the application version require that assembly NationalInstruments"

Hi

I am using mesurement Studio with Visual Basic .NET (with GPIB USB Cable)

and

When I was running the program, I got error message.

"Unable to install or run the applcation. The application require that assembly NationalInstruments. MStudioCLM Version 13.0.40.188 be installed in the Global Assembly Cashe (GAC) first"

Therefore, I re-install for I-488.2 for WINCODWS, Ver 3.1.1

and I tried to run it again , but it didn't work.

I am not really sure to solve this problem

Is there anyway to solve this problem ?

Hi,

Has this program ever worked in the past? Have you either upgraded or changed licenses for Measurement Studio? It could be that a past version of the MStudio was installed and now it is still pointing to that old version. This does not seem to point to a GPIB driver issue.

Nope, I was using windows 7 labtop, and I tried to change windows XP desktop for new developing environment.

I am sure that this desktop is pretty old. Therefore, I needed to installed frame work 4.0 and new NI drivers.

if MStudio was installed and now it is still pointing to that old version or If MStudio is too old, what should I do ? (Previously, someone already set up the developing environment and he is done, so I am not really sure what to do for this part 😞  )

Do I need to re-download and install MStudio from

http://www.ni.com/mstudio/ ?

Depending on the type of project you are working on, you should be able to right click on the references under your project and select refresh and see if this points to the correct builds.
