Spectral measurements (SNR, INL, THD, SFDR ) in FFT using Measurement studio

Hi,

Are there any examples available for calculating different parameters such as Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR ), Harmonic Distortion (THD), Integral Non Linearity (INL) etc. from a FFT spectrum with the measurement studio?

Any material or link in these directions will also be helpful.

Thanks in Advance,

Sudhi

Hello Sudhi,

There are some examples that ship with Measurement Studio that may help.  You can find them by navigating to Start Menu » All Programs » National Instruments and then selecting the Measurement Studio 8.x for Visual Studio 200x folder (the version numbers you see listed will correspond to the version of MStudio you have installed and what version of Visual Studio you installed it with).  Under that folder you can select the folders for .NET or Visual C++ Examples depending on which language you want to work in.  You can also manually navigate to these examples at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\MStudioVS200x.

If you look in the example folder marked Analysis, those examples should contain code covering these topics, or something very similar.  If these examples are not satisfactory you may try searching the NI.com Developer Zone for more.  If neither of these turns up anything helpful please feel free to post back and maybe we can work up something that would apply more directly to your situation.
