I use a USB-6501 as a ground fault monitor in a system. At various times, the 6501 reports the fault 'A USB transfer failed due to a transaction error reported by the USB host controller.
Task Name: _unnamedTask<0>
Status Code: -50808'
To fix this, we have to USB unplug and replug the 6501. Restarting the application software does not fix the error.
The system runs 24/7. The fault occurs infrequently, is there anything that I can do in software to reset the connection?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately this can be a tricky problem to pin down. Some suggestions on where to look:
-If altering the hardware at the USB input end is an option, this article might be of help.
-In terms of resetting the connection in software I'm aware of this fix that is possible in LabView, however, I'm unsure of how this would be done in a text based language.
-This forum post goes over some other potential causes of the problem.

Thanks Jonah,
We have moved the 6501 USB direct to the PC instead of through a hub. Will let you know if this helps.
