Unable to add class, Form, User Control, Component or Module to DAQ project

Running MS 8.0.1 on VS2005, latest XP. Have a DAQ project. When try to add a class using Project|Add Class I get the Add New Item Wizard and the only choices are DAQ, VISA, Instrument Driver or Search Online Templates. Same thing happens with Project|Add Windows Form, Add User Control, Add Component, Add Module.

Same behavior with add from Solution Explorer and right clicking.

Sounds like a bug. What is the workaround?

Hi Steve,

I've noticed that when I go to Project >> Add Class, there is a tree of different "Categories" which starts with "Visual Basic (or C#) Items", then under that there is a "Measurement Studio" category. By default (in a NI DAQ Project) the Measurement Studio category is selected, and my options are fairly limited, much like you described.

If I select the top most node (Visual Basic C# Items), all the options you're normally familiar with are available.

You are right. Didn't notice that Measurement Studio was autoselected. When I select the next level up ('Visual Basic Items') I see all the usual stuff.

Problem solved.
