Unable to create new projects after upgrading to V7.1

Following the upgrade to Measurement Studio 7.1 I am unable to create new projects (File - New - Project). The error generated is a very helpful "Unable to complete operation".

The project directory and reference file are created but no code files.

A similar problem exists when trying to add new 'Items' to existing projects (RightClick - Add - Add New Item). After selecting the type of item to be created and selecting ok the following error is seen :-

"Could not run the 'C:\Program Files\ ..... \LocalProjectItems\...\CSharpAddComponantWiz.vsz' wizard"

Do you have an easy way to fix this problem? Or will I have to install everything from scratch?

I have had this problem as well without Measurement Studio being installed. I fixed the problem by doing a repair on Visual Studio.
