Hi There
Is it possible to use NIDAQMx libaries using C# without installing any version of Measurement studio?
I know this used to be possible but I am just going through the process of installing 9.1.7 and the installer does not allow me to check the .net 3.5 language support option.
I dont need any of the features of measurement studio. I have used NidaqMX from C# in the past, it is a great library.
Thanks

Hi Dynamotive (great user name, by the way!!)
As you will see in the following table, DAQmx 9.1.7 does support .Net Framework 3.5 (VB.NET and c#) in Visual Studio 2008. You should not require Measurement Studio to interact with NI hardware - just the driver support.
I got hold of the latest version of DAQmx, and ran the installer to further investigate the options. As you can see, I am able to select and install support for the .NET framework 3.5.
When you run your installer, are you selecting "custom" install? Are you able to see and select the .NET Framework 3.5 support for the subsequent list?
Thanks for your time,
