VS.NET Installation w/NI-DAQ, etc?

Hello,

I have a C# solution that uses Measurement Studio v7, NI-DAQ 7.0, niFgen, and niScope. When I create an installation project using Visual Studio .NET, I get the merge modules for Measurement Studio, but it doesn't include NI-DAQ and the rest of the hardware related files. What is the recommended procedure for installation everything?

Thanks,
Derek

This is something that we have identified as a problem, and are currently working to provide customers a better solution.

Currently, you should provide a Driver CD, the same CD that shipped with Measurement Studio to install the Driver runtimes. The VS.NET installer will take care of all API/assemblies as well as your application for you, but you need to install the underlying drivers from the Driver CD source.

The driver CD is a complete installer and includes a setup.exe that will provide a feature selection of all NI device drivers.

To add on to Jeff's recommendation which is ideal, you can also point your users to the NI Drivers and Updates page where all our instrument drivers can be found in downloadable form. Your customers can always order a free driver CD from NI was well.
