Hi Daniel,
I'm using a Visual Studio 2012 Professional, Version 11.0.61030.00, .NET Framework 4.5.51209
VS is an english version with german language pack.
Windows 7 professional is also german, Version 6.1.7601
Thanks for your efforts,
Jochen

Hi,
just for information: yesterday i had no crash, it worked. But: yesterday I added some assemblies from Measurement Studio to my project. After that everything worked fine. But right now after starting the system in the morning: VS crashed again.
After the repair installation of KB3002339 - time for a coffee - it worked again.
Regards, Jochen

Hi Daniel,
the problem still exists. Is there a solution in sight?
Thanks,
Jochen

Hi, Jochen
Even with the set of updates you've mentioned and a similar software stack, I have not been able to reproduce the issue you are reporting. Has it returned to its previous state? Are you crashing again?

Hi Daniel,
yes, I'm crashing again and again. My workaround is to make the repair installation of KB3002339 every morning.

Hi, Jochen
I can confirm that Visual Studio 2013 Express for Windows Desktop can create crash dumps with heap information. Would you be able to create a crash dump with heap information of the Visual Studio 2012 devenv.exe process at crash? If it is too large to upload here, please upload the crash dump to ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming, and let us know here that you have posted it.
Thanks,

Hi, Jochen
In addition to getting the crash dump, I would like you to try something else. Can you go to your <AppData>\Local\IsolatedStorage
directory and temporarily remove all items in that folder (you can back them up somewhere for the experiment). Does this have any effect on the crashes?
Thanks,

Hi Daniel,
sorry for the late reply, i was out of office for a few days.
I have removed the items in the IsolatedStorage directory, but no effect on the chrashes.
Anyway, i created the crash dump with heap information. Unfortunately my company does not allow acces to ftp-servers. So i have uploaded the dump file (300MB) to wetransfer.
The file will be available until 29th of July.
Thanks,
Jochen

Hi, Jochen
I have successfully downloaded the crash dump. Thank you for posting that.
I found that the version of the CLR loaded by the devenv process was 4.6.81.0. Did you install a preview or release candidate for .NET 4.6 on your machine? If so, does uninstalling the .NET Framework 4.6 resolve this problem?
We are going to continue to look through the crash dump, and will let you know if we find anything.
Thanks,
