migrating applications

Hi,

I have Meas Stud 8.5 prof. and I am programming on two computers. How in the world do I make a copy of my application folder, unfold it on the other computer and continue working. I have tried everything including deleting control and NI references and reinstalling them and it just wont run and gives the message:

An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details.  The error is: Could not load file or assembly 'NationalInstruments.UI, Version=8.5.35.220, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=18cbae0f9955702a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

At the end and in desparation I even tried to copy over the liscences and delete assemblies, nothing works?????

Anyone who knows what to do??, because currently I have to copy everything else over between the applications on the two machines every night and morning and as the program grows this becomes completely imbearable.

No answer today. I am of course not sure, but this should be a general problem that appear quite often in these Q&A's so it should be an answer almost like copy and paste for someone!!!??

Hello Morten,

Do you have Measurement Studio 8.5 (and thus the dependant assemblies) installed on both computers?   If so, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to simply copy the folder containing your solution and source files to the other computer and continue developing.  

I'm confused by what you mean when you say tried to "delete assemblies".  You should not need to delete any assemblies.  Also, when you say that you "have to copy everything else over between the applications on the two machines", I'm not sure what you're referring to.  Are you referring to just the source files, or are you copying all the dependant assemblies as well?  

A little more clarification about your current development setup and more specifics on how you coping with the perceived limitations would be very helpful.
