Hi Paul,
Thank you for providing your application.
I have had a look and been able to reproduce your error. However we cannot debug an executable application.
Is there any way you can send in your source code as identifying the cause of this issue may be impossible without it.
Thanks and best regards,
John

Don't the pdb's allow you to see the source code and add breakpoints etc. by connecting to a running application and then doing a break all ? If it makes it any easier I can put a System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break() into the class constructor of the graphing code that's causing the problem.
The problem isn't particulary the source code, more the other third party components we use and the fact that they don't play very happily in the IDE when not licenced.

Hi Paul,
The source code is generally much more useful for debugging although obviously its not going to be runnable if we are missing third party items that we need to run. As such I wondered if you can create the issue with a smaller section of code, one that doesn't include these libraries? This would not only be useful to us to be able to run from the source code and debug but may also help to narrow down the cause of the issue.

Hi Paul,
I wanted to check with you whether you were going to be able to get me some reduced code that still demonstrates the issue?

Not yet, I've just got back from holiday and am looking through the rest of my heap at the moment, I'll look at trying to get something together towards the end of the week.

Hi Paul,
I hope you are well. Just wanted to check whether you are still seeing this issue and whether you have been able to replicate it with any smaller code.

Fine thanks, It was only with one dataset and I've been too busy to try and get a smaller executable that will build easilly together.
It will probably be sidelined as one of those things unless I see it again as I don't currently have time to spend on it.
Thanks
Paul

James,
I've just had this reoccur with another data file so am back looking at it again.
Whilst the source code isn't pretty I can probably supply it this time, but it will probably need some third party libraries downloading, how should I procede ?
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
The best bet is if you phone into the office and create a service request that way. I shall notify the customer service representatives that I am expecting a call from a Paul Brown from the forums and they can then put you through to me when they create this. The number is 01635 523545.
Alternatively you could create one via e-mail at ni.com/ask if you prefferred this method.
