Application Error loading NI-DAQ/NI-Switch software onto SBC with XP Embedded

I am trying to load NI-DAQ software onto an SBC with a 1Gig Flash Drive, no harddisc, a CD-Rom and running Windows XP Embedded as the OS. I have been able to load other software using the CD-ROM but I keep getting the following error when I try to load the NI-DAQ using the setup.exe file on the NI-DAQmx CD:

The Instruction at 0x004755e7 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.

Structured Exception number 0xC0000005

Exception code: C0000005(ACCESS_VIOLATION)

Fault address: 474607 0001:00073607 D:\setup.exe

Any Ideas? Can the software be loaded without using the setup.exe file and if so is there a procedure for this?

Hi dmf_2,

Unfortunately it looks like DAQmx is only supported under Windows XP and is not supported for Windows XP Embedded.  You can see a list of the supported operating systems for DAQmx here.

Additionally you asked about a way to install the files without using the setup.exe file.  I am unaware of a means of doing that at this time.  Perhaps some users were able to make something work with DAQmx Base, but there definitely is no official support for this configuration at this time.
