CW 2.0.1 eval + ATL sample crashing

I am having a tough time using the CW evaluation controls in VC++. When
exploring the sample programs, going in and out of the property pages for a
control in the dialog editor will frequently crash MSDEV + Win98.
Additionally, the ATL sample from the NI web site will stop Win98 in it's
tracks with an invalid page fault in DIBENG.DLL. Since my intent is to use
CW in an ATL based project, I'd like to know if it is suitable. (Why
shouldn't it be?) Are these problems present in the licensed state? I'd
rather not expose myself to the 15% restocking fee to find out...

Here is what I have installed, in the order in which they were installed:

Win98
VC6 sp3
NI-DAQ 6.5.2
DAQScope 1.1
CW 2.0.1

Any suggestions are appreciat
ed.

To clarify...
The ATL sample crashes in the DoModal() call when on line 2378 of Atlhost.h
in AtlAxDialogBoxA()'s call to DialogBoxIndirectParamA()...
