Hey Curt,
With the PCI-6024E you have a few options. You can use the counters
if your square wave meets TTL (5V) specs. The counters will allow you
to count the number of pulses, measure the period, pulse width and the
frequency.
However, if you want to get information about the shape of the signal
then I would recommend using the analog inputs and setting your
sampling rate at about 10kHz or higher.
Which method you use depends on what you want to monitor. After you
install Measurement Studio 6.0 and then NI-DAQ you should have several
examples on you hard drive at C:\Program Files\National
Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\.
I hope this helps out.
