Help for Datasocket Ver. 4.5 wanted

Hi !

I use Measurement Studio for VB 6. (Components and Samples on my PC are from Meas. Studio 6).

I've got a VB 6 project where I reference the Datasocket Server 4.5 for the purpose of Server Control.

The reference is named "National Instruments DataSocket Server 4.0" and points to

"c:\windows\system32\cwdss.exe" and worked always fine - with all former Datasocket Versions up to 4.4.

After having installed Datasocket 4.5 it doesn't work anymore, because the location for cwdss.exe has been changed to (German OS WinXP) "c:\Programme\National Instruments\Datasocket\cwdss.exe".

Selecting the "cwdss.exe" on the new location via the "Browse" function from VB 6 "References", VB doesn't accept the component, and so it can't be used from my VB program.

Can you help me to get along with this problem ? I also tried to change the location of cwdss.exe in the registry, but regedit doesn't accept any changes for this.

Hi,

If you want to launch an application (.exe file, e.g. the Datasocket server) refer to Visual Basic examples, please.

If you are using DataSocket with Measurement Studio, refer to the shipping examples that comes with Measurement Studio located at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MeasurementStudio\VB\Samples\DataSocket.

Hope this helps!
