Remote Desktop

I am currently trying to use remote desktop from another machine to run my software, but am unable to see any of the 3D graphs. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to solve this problem? I need to be able to see 3D graphs on a remote desktop.

Hi Orynn,

I have not heard of any trouble with Measurement Studio and Remote Desktopping.  I tried to reproduce the issue here by creating a form with a graph on one computer.  I then used another computer to remote in to run the program.  I was able to see the 3D graph just fine.  Have you tried this on any other computers to see if you see the same behavior?  What version of Measurement Studio are you using?  Finally, if you have taken different steps than I have to create the problem, please let me know so that I can try and reproduce the issue here.
Thanks,

As far as I know, I am using the VB 6 version of Measurement Studio, but I'm not sure as to which version it is. I have only tried this on two machines, though they both have Measurement studio as well as decently powerful hardware. All I have done is used Microsoft's Remote Assistance (this is essential) by offering one computer a chance to connect to another computer.  The result is basically where a 3D graph SHOULD be, is some sort of stationary visual. (IE I can either see the desktop, or if there was a picture box BEFORE the 3D graph, then only the picture box.) I am currently attempting to resolve some other issues, like working with Remote assistance behind two different NAT. I am assuming that it will still work.

I tried to replicate the problem with a fresh install of Visual Studio and Measurement studio 6.0. I am not able to see the same behavior. Do you see different behavior if you try adding as opposed to simply viewing a graph on your form while in the remote desktop session? I am assuming here that you are using Windows XP on both machines.

Thank you
