What's the latest version of Componentworks?

Hi all,

What's the latest version of Componentworks? What version of Componentworks is it in Componentworks Starter Kit and in Measurement Studio? Does Componentworks Starter Kit contain DataSocket? Does it have control over DAQ plug-in board, such as NI 4551/4552? In Measurement Studio do I have to use LabWindows/CIV for connecting and controlling DAQ boards? Is there any comparison between LabVIEW and Measurement Studio or Componentworks?

The latest version is 3.0.1 (included in Measurement Studio 1.0.1 and the CW Starter Kit). The Starter Kit does NOT include DataSocket. DAQ ActiveX controls are included with NI-DAQ software. In Measurement Studio, you can use CVI, Visual Basic (with the ActiveX controls provided) or Visual C++ (with the C++ classes provided) to develop. Which ever you prefer. LabVIEW and Measurement Studio provide very similar tools just for different types of programming. LabVIEW for graphical programming and Measurement Studio for text programming in VB/VC++ or CVI. There are some small differences, but almost every tool and function is provided in both Measurement Studio and LabVIEW.
