3D Controls and PCAnywhere

I have an application that uses the Measurement Studio 2D and 3D graph
controls. When I run Symantec pcAnywhere 10.5 (or even 10.0) in HOST mode,
the graphs will not display and I get 'An unsupported operation was
attempted' error.
Has anyone tried to run an NI-MS program with pcAnywhere in host mode?
Have you had success?
Are there any work-arounds?

Going from DirectX 7.0 to 9.0 solved the problem.
