I'm working with Measurement Studio for VC++. I'm using VISA to drive a serial port.
- Is there a way to install a callback function, called when there is data available on the port (just like InstallComCallback, from the rs232 lib, would do) ?
It appears that among the events we can wait on with visa (on a serial port) there is no such function.

There is currently no way to do this in VISA. We have had similar feedback as to the need for this feature in VISA, and we will be adding it in a future version.

For now you will need to use the CVI RS232 library for this functionality.
