I have a USB-6210 and am trying to run demo program Acq-IntClk.c - the first statment (DAQmxCreateTask() ) causes an OS exception. error signature says the module is nidmxfu.dll ???

This is not a Measurement Studio app, it's MS VC++ w/ANSI C but there wasn't a catagory for ANSI C example programs. The Acq-IntClk project
compiles ok, but the app crashes with an OS (XP) exception. The first statement, a call to DAQmxCreateTask()  is what's failing. I't doesn't matter
if the USB-6210 is connected or not. The USB driver installed without error and the system recognizes the device when it's connected.
Please advise.

Hi Jwsinva,

Welcome to the forums! I have a few questions that I would like answered to help troubleshoot your error.
1) Does the OS exception happen inside or outside the console?
2) Can you post back with a screenshot of the exception?

Additionally:
3) When the USB-6210 is connected, and you open Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), can you expand the Devices and Interfaces Tab, Expand NI-DAQmx Devices, select the USB-6210, and run a test panel without error?
4) Did you install the DAQmx Driver after the version of Visual Studio you are working with?
5) What version of the DAQmx Driver are you using? This info can be found by expanding the Software tab in MAX and clicking on NI-DAQmx.
