Line status in PCI-6503 card and NI-DAQ (Legacy) drivers

Hello to everyone,

I've a  PCI-6503 card, running in an XP PC with traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.4 driver and I want to know how can I check the status of the lines of an output port. Because there are two applications working together and sending signals through the lines of the same port and It would be interesting if one of that applications could know if the other has changed the line status.
