Measurement Studio help reference no longer works correctly.

I've recently loaded a new version of MSDN (Oct. 2001) and Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0(the latest as of July 2003. Now the hyperlinks in the Measurement Studio Reference give an error that indicates it cannot no longer find the linked information.

Hi,
Seems that the links on the MStudio reference got somehow corrupted. Probably the best way to go here would be to try to repair the installation. If you go to the control panel and Add/Remove Programs you should see there the MStudio entry, click change and the installer should find the current installation and give you the option to repair it. If this does not work then probably the only way to get the help back up will be a reinstallation of MStudio.

The help file problem was due to a missing Microsoft update that had not been installed on my system.

The problem arose because Microsoft had fixed a security vulnerability in the IE. Their security fix caused the "side effects" I described and which needed a patch. In essense, I had one update that caused a problem, but did not get the second update to fix the first problem,.

The missing Microsoft update immediately fixed the help files' non-working hyperlink problem.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look into the help file problem I was having.
