Hello my name is Sascha,
I'm working on a Demosoftware which is able to control our RFID readers. We also have integrate a activeX-Control for measurements (Noise-Level, etc.) out of the Measurement Studio package V8.5. I've made a setup from the demosoftware by using and including the latest merge modules (CWUI_OCX.msm,NiMesaDLL.msm and NiMetaUtils.msm). I've always got problems under Vista Ultimate (english language version) after installing the demosoftware by using the setup. The installation seems to be successfully, but when I start the demosoftware program I got an error and the measurement control is not available and displayed !!! I've copied the cwui.ocx manually in the system32 folder, but and tried to register this file with the regsvr32 command, but got an error message !!!
Has anybody an idea or can give a hint what to do in this case !!
I've checked an entry in this knowledge base (forum) from the year 2007 with similar poblems ....but found no solution for my porblem. I've already checked the dependencies (with the Dependcie Walker program) and found no misising Microsoft DLLs !!!
Thanks for help in advance !!
Best regards
Sascha

If this won't solve the problem, I would need more informations ->screenshot of the error message

Dear Dippi,
I know this forum post article you've recommended. I've already tried this, but without any success.
I can't explain myself, why there are no problems under Vista (german language). In this OS everything works find.
In the english Vista version I got a "Invalid Pointer" error and the Active-X control is not displayed.
Do you have some further hints? Are there some language problems known ?
Thanks for help in advance !
Best regards
Sascha

Hi Sascha,
I just found one more point for ou to test:
Title
"Unable to Register OCX" Message from Visual Basic or Borland C++ Builder
Problem
When I install Measurement Studio, Visual Basic gives me the error that it is "unable to register" the user interface controls (CWUI.OCX) and the analysis library (CWANALY.OCX).
Solution
This problem is caused by a missing DLL from the ActiveX container. Reinstalling the ActiveX container you are using (Visual Basic or Borland C++ Builder) should correct the problem.
And you can take a look at this post:

Perhaps this helps
