Where is example code?

I did a full install of MS Enterprise edition (8.1.1) yesterday, and there are no source files in the Examples directory.
Was this an oversight, or some kind of cruel pratical joke?

In 8.1.1, we moved the example files out of the Program Files directory and into the all users public documents directory to properly support Windows Vista. You can find information on this move in the Release Notes and in the online help topic, "Where to Find Examples". The Release Notes are linked from the Measurement Studio Start Menu groups. If you installed the Measurement Studio online help, you should be able to get to the Where to Find Examples topic by clicking this link:

We also install a shortcut (.lnk file) to the new location in the old location. If this doesn't exist on your system, we likely have an installer bug. Can you look for it and let me know if it is missing?

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We were not thrilled with moving the examples directories on XP and 2000 in order to properly support Vista, but we felt that the alternative (i.e. condition the installer based on OS) represented too great a development and maintenance burden to be worth it.

There they are!

But, I don't see links under C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MeasurementStudioVS2005\VCNET\Examples. What I do see are object files, various project support files, and sometimes executables. From it's appearance, It looks very much like an incomplete distribution.

It may be relavent that I had previously installed the evaluation download. I uninstalled it via Add/Remove Programs when I upgraded to the full version, but maybe there is a bug in that installer?
