cwui.ocx versionnumber, filesize, date modified

Hello everyone!

It seems I got messed up with my cwui.ocx - I've found several versions of that file on my computer and want to know which one is the correct for the Measurement Studio 8.5?

I've attached the errormessages occuring, when I try to open a dialog containing Measurement-Studio-Components. Guess what: It worked yesterday, I've not installed or changed with my NI- and Visual-Studio-Software - I just installed some 3rd-party-software, which has nothing to do with the measurement-studio.

Since this is not the first time this problem occurs, maybe someone has an idea, of what's going wrong. Uninstall and install again did help, but takes an aeon.

best regards,

Thomas

The correct version of cwui.ocx for Measurement Studio 8.5 is 8.5.11.220.

To register a version of the .ocx without doing  full re-install:

  1. Open a command window (run as Administrator if you are on Vista, with UAC enabled)
  2. Type regsvr32 /u cwui.ocx
  3. Copy the correct version of cwui.ocx to your Windows\System32 directory
  4. Type regsvr32 cwui.ocx

If you continue to have problems with the licensing and eval control behavior, try using the MStudioLicenseFixer.exe, located on your Measurement Studio installation CD, in the ActiveX License Fixer folder. See KB 2BTGHR56KB 2BTGHR56 for more information.

Thanks - the registering worked.

It was TI's Code Composer Studio 2.21 which installed a very old version (1.1) of this file on my computer. I just was not aware that installing CCS could effect a Visual Studio Project.

Hi guys,

Please help me to find in what NI package the file cwui.ocx v8.6.11.465 is. It is mentioned as well as product version 8.6.11.

I added a screenshot of the file properties.

Thanks a million and hope to get an answer soon,

Lucian
