installing ivi 2.0 - devices lost

I upgraded my IVI installation to 2.0, in order to try it out on a Keithley 2000 DMM (via GPIB).

Problem is, after installation no "IVI drivers" are listed within MAX (not the generic ones, not K2000). Should i have uninstalled the older (1.8.something?) before - or what's wrong.

Right-clicking "IVI instruments" shows "create" button, but after that only "cancel" is active. Great, eh?! 🙂

versions: MAX 3.0, IVI 2.0, Visa 3.0

First try installing and reinstalling one of your IVI drivers to see if it shows up. If it doesn't, then you should
1) Uninstall MAX*
2) Install IVI Compliance package 2.0
3) Install any other NI software that installs MAX

*In order to uninstall MAX you need to uninstall any drivers that are dependent on MAX. ie NI-488.2, ni-visa, NI-DAQ

It turned out the MAX was 3.0 beta (from the CVI 7.0 beta disks). I removed it, some other stuff and started anew. Got MAX3 via NI-DAQ 7 (a HUGE download!) which also contains most of the other necessary pieces. Works now, thanks! 🙂
