Yes, you can control as many axes as you like and you can synchronize the axes within each board, however there is currently no mechanism for synchronizing axes between the boards. You can get pretty close with software timing (a few ms), which is okay for many applications. As long as you do not need all 12 axes to be *exactly* coordinated this will work fine.
