7334 digital IO

What do I need to wire up in the SCD-68 box to be able to communicate with the 24 bits of digital IO available on the PCI-7334 motion controller?

I assume you mean SCB-68, and all you would need is an SCH-68-C68-S cable, mini 68 (VDHCI) connector to standard 68 (D-Type) connector as shown in the link below:

I have that. How do I know what settings to make to the switched in the box as well as what do I cable up where in the box.

Have you seen the user manual for the 7334? It is available on the NI website at: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/322504c.pdf. The pinout for the DIO connector on the 7334 is on page 5-14, and the pin assignments are identical to those on the SCB-68. So you would simply connect the SCB-68 to your 7334 using the SCH-68-C68-S cable, and then break out the individual DIO lines you need from the SCB-68.

If something still isn't clear, please be more specific about which signals you want to access from the SCB-68.

As for the software settings for these lines, you will have to configure them in Measurement and Automation Explorer. Refer to the following document for more information:
