Communication with Compax3 via RS232

Good afternoon,
I’m new to the world of LabVIEW. At the university, we are trying to control a servomotor using the Compax3 through LabVIEW. The problem is that we haven’t been able to establish communication between LabVIEW and the Compax3. We’ve been trying some example projects we found here on the forum, but we keep getting an error code. I don’t have the exact code at the moment, but when we looked it up, it said there was an issue with COM7, which is the port we are using via an RS232 adapter.

We know the port itself is working because we’ve been able to power on and control the motor speed using Parker’s software. We were wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and could help us solve it, or if someone has a sample module that allows communication and control of the servomotor through LabVIEW and the Compax3.

Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards.

Ensure that only one application is trying to control the COM port.
