Control a printer by using NI Labview

We will do a group project for our degree. we plan to design a printer which has two printing heads. These two heads can move on a x-y table. We try to use NI products to control this printer. Are there any example or solution for such topic? Thank you for your kind reply.

Hi,

First of all I appreciate your effort to start a group project. Thats something which many of us would be interested in. You need the following NI hardware and software for this project,

1.) PCI 7344

2.) UMI 7774

3.) LabVIEW 7.1

Do u have this hardware and software. I'll provide u with the VIs. Please give me a detailed description of the printer operation and we'll move stage by stage. U can also get help from some of the amazing guys in this forum( Altenbach, Jochen and Dennis, that for u). Best of luck.
