Controlling PI C-865 via USB

Hello,
I am controlling movement of PI M-665 via PI C-865. Everything works fine when connected via RS232 but I also wanted to try USB communication. I simply connected the device by appropriate cable and then appeared attached message. I tried to install USB-Serial virtual driver from PI CD that came with the device but without any success. The name of device mentioned in the message seems to me really weird - PI C 857.10 Encoder Trigger Box. What’s that? I didn’t find any information on internet. I also downloaded the latest USB-Serial driver by same company as the one provided on the CD. But this didn’t help as well.

Did somebody face same problem?

Ceties,

as these questions are directly related to devices from Physikinstrumente I would suggest to contact this company, as chances are quite low that someone in the NI forums knows the answers.

I almost forgot to mention the final solution. It might help one day somebody.
As suggested I contacted the company and they solved the problem very quickly and willingly. The FTDI USB to serial converter-chip in the motion controller was programmed wrong with the Product ID and identification string for the C-857.10. They sent us different .inf file that solved the problem.

Now everything works fine
