Hi John,
Thanks for posting and it's great to hear that you're interested in using LabVIEW for motor control.
In order to drive your stepper motor, there are many options for both hardware and software. You may consider using our CompactRIO platform, which is the popular choice. For this method you will require extra hardware, such as a CompactRIO controller, chassis and stepper motor module.
More information on the CompactRIO platform here. A stepper motor module that is quite widely used is the NI 9501.
In terms of software, our Soft-Motion or Module modules would be ideal. Finally, when you have obtained the hardware and software there are many examples built in to the LabVIEW Example Finder on motion control.
If you'd like to have more information on the extra hardware needed or guidance on the hardware or software relevant to your specific application, please feel free to get in touch and one of our sales engineers will be happy to advise you further.
