Does anybody have a good Labview 7 VI for the A3200?

I'm trying to use the Aerotech supplied LabView 7 VI for the A3200 motion controller and it causes nothing but errors.  Has anybody discovered why, or solved this problem?

Hey FlyNavy,

If you received these LabVIEW VI's from Aerotech, I would first suggest that you contact Aerotech and discuss the errors you are getting with them, as they would know the functions that you are using the best (since they wrote the code). If you don't get feedback or help from them, then you might want to post the exact errors that you are getting, and maybe someone else that is also using the same functions from Aerotech might be able to help you out.

How easy is it to configure and program the Aerotech motion controllers using labview. I've been using NI, PCI-7344 motion controller. Its very easy to configure using MAX and also easily programmable using the simple to understand VIs provided by NI. What do you suggest about aerotech? Also, do the LabVIEW VIs for Aerotech come with the package or should I have to purchase it seperately. How abt. the cost of the controller?

Are you seeing the problems with newer version of A3200 - newer than 2.12?  You can submit the exact error message to service@aerotech.com.

FlyNavy, The Labview VI's are bundled with A3200 software package, no additional cost  as far as I know.

Unfortunately, Aerotech has STOPPED shipping LabVIEWVI's with their A3200 Software Disk. Don't know why. Their website states that the 8,2 folder contained LabVIEW Vis. Too bad I have no clue as to what they are referring.
