Electrical Cycle

Dear all:

i have one question when i configure PXI-7350 in the MAX,The parameter named Electrical ccycle.i don't know to to calculate the vaule.

The control loop is : i use (PXI-7350)on board communication with sinusoidal control signal to control Motor Amplifier ,then through Motor amplifier to control the linear motor.meanwhile the motion controller (PXI-7350) accept the feedback from an increasement encoder .(the encoder was fixed upon the Motor and could feedback the position of movement).

attachment is the spec of the linear motor and encoder.

         Linear Motot type is :410-4A-AC-W2DP-12

         Encoder is:RSF MS51-36B

Anyone who can help me calculate the Electrical Cycle? Thanks.

According to the spec sheet, the electrical cycle of the motor is 85.34mm.  I could not figure out how to determine the resolution of the encoder from the spec sheet.  If it is working, then you can actually measure the resolution by moving the motor by hand.  You just need to convert 85.34mm to counts.  Also, I would use the "wake and wiggle" phase finding method.

thank your quick response ,Brian!

the endoer model MS51-36 is the old model number correspond to the new model is MS50.65.

MS means encoder name.

51  means encoder type(stroke length for DITAST)

.6   means outputsignals and integraded subdividing.(Square wave signals,times 5)

5    means grating pitch(5=100 um).

Those are all specs, but I interpreted it as 200um grating.  I still don't know what that means.  We need to know how many counts per mm.
