Following Error?

Hi,

I'm setting up a Sigma II Servo Drive and corresponding SGMAH motor and incremental encoder with the PCI 7390. I followed the instructions given in the NI website:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5908

When I try using the Interactive in MAX, the motor does not move, it turns on and off  but does not move. If I try using Motion Asisstant, after clicking start, it tells me there is a following error. I've tried changin the values of the following erro but it still doesn't work.

Is there any more information on how to set all the correctly configure the settings between the yaskawa hardrive and the PCI7390?

I have tried runnign the motor wth the YAskawa software through an RS232 port and the motor moves fine.
Thanks.

This document talks about a similar issue with closed loop stepper motors, but the suggested solutions should also fit to your problem.

Kind regards,

I just solved a similar problem.
Check two things in your setup:

1. The motor/drive is enabled when you command it to run and disabled when you kill the axis.
If not, change inhibit output signal polarity.

2.Make sure that the zero reference voltage is the same for the drive and the motion controller.
i.e. same number in drive software and in MAX (axis->control loop settings->primary DAC output->torque offset)
