High Speed Encoder capture offset

My high speed encoder capture data intermittently contains an offset that seems to be 2^16. This offset persists in subsequent data. It appears that the counter is being incorrectly incremented by this value. What could be causing this?

As our support databases don't report such a behavior this sounds like an individual hardware problem of your board (looks like a bit is toggling).

Just to rule out other possibilities please make sure that you have installed the latest NI-Motion software and firmware which is version 6.1.2.
Here is the download link:

For the case that you have already installed installed the latest driver and the problem persists please contact your local NI branch for a board exchange.
