Take a look at the diagram on page B-55 in the manual. There are only three signals that you absolutely must connect; "Pulse Signal (CW)", "Rotation Direction (CCW)", and "All Windings Off". Connect the CW/CCW lines to their respective lines on the controller and connect the "All Windings Off" to the Inhibit line on the contoller, exactly as shown in this diagram. The controller and drive will support both CW/CCW and Step/Dir signaling, explained under the Pulse Input section on B-57. It does not matter which you choose. Just make sure they are set the same for both devices.
For closed loop control, you will also need to connect the encoder feedback from the drive to the controller. Use the wiring scheme shown for the open collector outputs (ASG1, BSG1). The
line driver outputs would probably also work, but I would recommend using ASG1 and BSG1 instead.
This should be all you need to get up and running.
