How do you set the minimum acceleration in MAX to less than 4000 steps/s^2?

Iam using a closed loop stepper driven control system and I would like to configure accelerations less than 4000 steps/s^2, but MAX won't let me. I am using MAX version 3.0.0.3014, any help would be appreciated thanks. Btw, I have tried changing the parameters under Trajectory Settings but it didn't help.

Hello,

Valid acceleration parameter is restricted to 4000-128000000 range by the driver. You can get around this restriction by increasing the microstepping of your power drive. Increasing it by 10 will slow down your motor by 10 and so on.

Thank you Yusuf, I hadn't thought of that. I have also heard that using rps/s will also allow slower accelerations, is this true?
