Incorrect motion complete status

We are using a PCI 7344 with Advanced Motion Controls servo amplifier and 2 servo motors. We are receiving movement completed signal (in MAX) when movents are not really completed. Can this be noise in the Can this be noise in the wiring or from the encoders ?

Tulio,

Noise on your wire from the encoder can certainly cause this. Do you have a scope that you can take a look at the signals coming from the encoders? Have you put the correct amount of encoder pulses per rev. into MAX (this number is different from # lines per rev.)

Try shortening your encoder wires, shield them, move your system away from noise sources.
