Hi everyone,
For a school project, we are thinking of using a myRIO to control the motors in a 3D Printer and are fairly new to the device. The issue we have come across is that there are 3 stepper motors needed to control. So far we have learned that it is possible to control 1 stepper motor and 2 DC motors with myRIO. Is it somehow possible to control 3 stepper motors instead?
If it is really not possible, what would you advise using?

Hello,
I assume you were looking at the Digilent Motor Adapter for this project, which only works with two servos and one stepper motor. In order to control three separate stepper motors, you would need to buy three separate drives for each motor.
Please look through this forum post (How to create stepper motor signal (myRIO)?) for some ideas on how to program stepper motors with the myRIO. You will also want to check how many digital lines you will need for three stepper motors.
