There is a new option in the installer of Motion 7.0 that you must activate when you want to use 73xx controlers. Because I'm using a french version of the installer I can't tell you the exact english (or german ?) name. May be "Support for NI 73xx Controlers" or something like that...

Hello "JB",
i tried to install Motion 7.0 again (after uninstalling), selected custom installation: checked RealTime Support for 7344 but there is no difference.
I don´t know what kind of new installer optionyou are talking about.
Can You tell me even in the french version what options You used?
What happened in the past was that localized Versions of LabVIEW (like french oder german) contained updates that did not reach the same
english version so that all english users had to wait till the next small release/patch.
Thank You very much and best regards

Hello Marko,
Here's a screen shot. I'm using the drivers that came with the english version of the Developer Suite (August 2005).
Hope this helps.

The problem seems to be an automated reset situation, that resets the serial number of a 7344 board. Installing the Motion 7.1 (from the LabVIEW8 Package) did not solve the problem. If the SN is "0" there is no more output within the MAX, so You even can´t see that the SN is now "0".
Installing Motion 6.1.2 after all this, it showed the "0" Serial Number.
We had a second 7344 motion controller here, installed it on the 7.1 and later on 7.0 and it
ran great. It seems that the NI PAL causes the difference: when You uninstall the Motion, the NI PAL stays on the system only when you set up the whole System, NI PAL is "removed". This might be the critical component in the system especially because it is not uninstalled after removing Motion x.x.x.
Now we are running PAL 1.10f0 (from Motion 7.1) and a Motion 7.0.0 and the 7344 card is found. The first card has no more Serial Number and is no more acceped from the MAX.
