Hello,
I am using a PCI-7340 motor controller and a MID-7654 servo motor drive to run a Physik Instrumente M-235.5DD linear actuator. Regardless of what movement I apply in MAX 1D Interactive mode, the actuator moves a few mm backwards. What could be the cause of this? I suspect I may have to reverse the Encoder polarity or A/B connections.
More critically, at one point, MAX said the reverse limit was active. At this point I initiated a motion, and the actuator moved backwards past its reverse limit. Now I'm concerned that any more backwards movement could damage the motor, so I would appreciate any explanation of how the motor moved backwards even though the reverse limit switch was activated. It was activated by backwards movement to begin with.
