NI 9263 - Run a small DC motor with the analog output from the NI 9263

First off, I am very new with LabView and the NI DAQ system. I have been trying to connect a small DC motor to the NI 9263 Analog Output Module, but have had no luck in getting the motor to run. Could anyone help me with troubleshooting the hardware/software?

Hi justinmw,

Have you checked to make sure that the 9263 can provide the current necessary to move the motor. The specifications of the 9263 say that the module can output 1mA on each analog output channel. You might consider taking a look at this forum post, which discusses controlling motors with DAQ cards.

If you can provide more information on your motor and your VI, I might be able to provide some more insight.

Thank you for the reply. This was the conclusion I came to after researching more on the module NI 9263. I will be looking more into controllers that could work with the dc motors we're working with.
