NI9514 / Kollmorgen AKD error "NI SoftMotion: The specified device was not detected."

Dear community,

Over the past few days I've been trying to connect my AKD Kollmorgen (P003006) to the NI9514 module.

I've connected the module using the National Instruments AKD cable to my CRio (9040).

However when I want to deploy all or open for example the interactive test panel I get the following error:

"NI SoftMotion:  The specified device was not detected."

I think there is something wrong in the connection between the module and the AKD Kollmorgen, however I am not sure.

When deploying the script I first get the following warning, does this have something to do with it?

Does this have to do anything with it? It doesn't work in "current mode" as well as "active mode"

I have a similar problem (even though I don't use Kollmorgen motors but Maxon's).

Did you find the solution ?

We are having this same error but for different reasons.

The problem from the OP is due to P00306 AKD drives being EtherCAT position indexing and not Analog servo drives.  There are no connections for the NI-9514 feedback DB9 being serviced by that AKD model.  You'd need the B00306 I think.

It works with EtherCAT deployement.

Our problem is SoftMotion not recognizing NI-9514 modules during deployment.  Appears to be a Scan Engine problem.  Also unable to "Check Version" or "Update Firmware" from the Real-Time Resources module properties dialog.
