Hi all,
Many years ago I setup machines with several PCI-7358 cards using NI-Motion 6.1x and LabVIEW 7.0 - a card failed so I purchase a replacement. The replacement has the current firmware version on it. When I put it in the old machine the PC does not even recognise the card at the windows level - so no motion card is setup for MAX. With certain (newer the 6.1x but older than current) versions of NI-motion the card is setup but when I try to downgrade the firmware it fails in a variety of ways, eventually no firmware appears to select for downgrading (in MAX). To recover the card I must use the current version of NI-Motion.
Can I install the windows level drivers without the complete NI-motion installation?
We have many machine and we want to avoid upgrading them all to the current versions of LabVIEW and NI-Motion.
The card works fine in the current version of LabVIEW and NI-Motion.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Martin,
I have been having a look into this and I was hoping that you could perhaps clarify a couple of things.
What is the firmware version and (if you can get it) the part number of the board? - The actual PCB will have a number that indicates a revision which will be helpful for me.
Also, with downgrading the firmware, could you tell me whether the method described at the below is what you did to attempt the downgrade?

Many thanks.

Hi Martin,
Any information you can forward would be of help if you don't have it all right now.
