On-board programming,determine ammount of required memory

I'm considering using on-board programming (using PCI 7344) in my application. The ammount of flex_... commands that are required for this task is huge and variable (+- 5,000). How can I determine in advance or monitor the usage of memory during on-board programming before getting a "no more memory" like error ?

The onboard memory and how it is split into RAM and ROM is described in the 7344 Hardware User Manual on page 4-5, as well as an estimate of how much memory the code take on average. That should answer your questions.
